On September 28, 2015, Tony Scott Brazier, a 47-year-old White male, was fatally shot in Jacksonville, Texas. Born on December 17, 1967, in Jacksonville, he was the son of Jan and Tony Brazier. Scott was a member of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Following the incident, two individuals were arrested in connection with the murder of Tony Scott Brazier. They were formally charged and arraigned for the offense of "Tampering With / Fabricating Physical Evidence."
