Linette Cano, a 2-year-old girl of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on November 6, 2015, in Houston, Texas. Her death, along with that of her mother, Veronica Mercado, 26, was discovered in their home in the 7800 block of Elvera. The bodies were found by police around 10 a.m. that morning. The investigation revealed that both victims had been fatally shot.
