Maria Isabel Garcia, a 56-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on January 26, 2016, in Brownsville, Texas. The incident occurred during a chaotic shootout involving law enforcement officers and her son, Jesse Garcia. Maria Isabel Garcia was caught in the crossfire and suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the back. She was pronounced dead before reaching the hospital.
