Amelia Areli Ponce De Garza, a 42-year-old Hispanic woman from Brownsville, Texas, tragically passed away on January 18, 2020. She was well-known in her community for her dedication to education and her volunteer work at the Russell campus of the Brownsville Independent School District. Her death was a significant loss, not only to her family but also to the many lives she touched through her work.
