James Ayala, a 25-year-old Army veteran, was tragically killed in a murder-suicide in Katy, Texas, on February 21, 2016. Ayala, who was of Hispanic descent, was fatally shot around midnight at a home on Katy Briar Lane, near Morton Road and Madison Road. The incident occurred when a 17-year-old male suspect discovered that his girlfriend was cheating on him with Ayala.
