On August 20, 2017, 37-year-old Jorge Alberto Torres was fatally shot at a 7-Eleven gas station in Southeast Dallas, Texas. Torres was approached by three teenagers while he was filling up his car. The suspects attempted to rob him, and during the altercation, they shot Torres in the head. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Torres succumbed to his injuries.
