Jason Harrison, a 38-year-old African American man, died on June 14, 2014, in Dallas, Texas. He was fatally shot by two Dallas police officers, John Rodgers and Andrew Hutchins, at his home. The incident occurred after Harrison's mother called 911 for help in bringing her son, who was suffering from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, to the hospital. Harrison was off his medication and in a crisis at the time.
