Joshua David Sanchez, a 27-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on October 9, 2017, in Edinburg, Texas. His death was the result of a road rage incident. Joshua was shot by Fabian Paredes, a 33-year-old man, outside the Hidalgo County Courthouse. The altercation began when Paredes and Sanchez had a heated exchange during a traffic incident. Paredes claimed he acted in self-defense, believing Sanchez was reaching for a weapon, although it turned out Sanchez was unarmed.
