On May 19, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., Edinburg police responded to a shooting incident at The Enclave Apartments located at 602 S. Pin Oak Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 43-year-old Alvi Aristegui Puyg deceased from a gunshot wound.

The investigation revealed that the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute over missing chicken. According to a probable cause affidavit, an argument escalated between Puyg and his cousin, 17-year-old Alberto Quintana. Quintana's father rec ...
