Robert Sciandra, a 67-year-old male, tragically lost his life on December 8, 2017, in Houston, Texas. He was one of three victims in a horrific triple murder that took place at his home in the Bear Creek Village neighborhood. The other victims were identified as his 22-year-old daughter, Jessica Sciandra, and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Jordan Michael Collier.
The suspect in this case, 35-year-old Jeffrey Noble, was arrested two days later in Dallas, Texas.
Noble was charged with capital murder and faced additional charges including evading arrest with a previous conviction, failure to identify, intent to give false information, and parole violation. Investigators revealed that Noble knew the Sciandra family and had visited their home the day before the murders. He reportedly exhibited erratic behavior, claiming to hear voices, which led to the early end of a birthday celebration. The following day, Noble returned to the Sciandra residence armed with a .50-caliber assault rifle and began shooting, resulting in the deaths of Robert Sciandra, Jessica Sciandra, and Jordan Collier.
Noble's trial concluded with a plea agreement in which he received three concurrent 60-year sentences for the murders. The Harris County District Attorney emphasized that while Noble's mental health issues were considered, they did not excuse his actions. The families of the victims continue to endure the pain and heartbreak caused by this tragic event.
This case highlights the devastating impact of gun violence and the importance of addressing mental health issues within the criminal justice system. The community and law enforcement worked diligently to bring justice for Robert Sciandra and the other victims, ensuring that Noble would spend the rest of his life in prison.
