Glenn Eugene Howell, a 47-year-old male from Austin, Texas, tragically passed away on May 19, 2018. His death was the result of a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of that day in a parking lot outside Bender Bar & Grill on Ben White Boulevard. Howell was involved in a physical altercation with Antoine Kirkwood, 35, which escalated when Kirkwood retrieved a handgun and shot Howell in the head.
Despite efforts to resuscitate him, Howell succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Following the incident, Kirkwood fled the scene but was later arrested in Georgetown, Texas. He was charged with first-degree murder and faced a bond set at $100,000.
