On February 21, 2013, Garland Carter, aged 52, was shot and killed in the College Hill neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The incident took place on Warne Avenue, an area that had seen an increase in violent crime during that period. Carter was discovered with fatal gunshot wounds, and police responded to the scene shortly thereafter. Despite initial efforts by law enforcement, the case remains unsolved.
