In the early moments of August 13, 2015, in St. Louis, Missouri, a young mother's life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Whitney Brown, a 24-year-old woman, was standing by a parked car in the 6000 block of Shulte Avenue when a vehicle drove by and its occupants opened fire. Brown was struck in the torso and later died from her injuries. Also killed in the shooting was 28-year-old Devon Fletcher, who was shot in the abdomen.
