Derrick Ladon Woods, a 38-year-old Black male from Dallas, Texas, tragically died on January 8, 2019. He was found on the ground next to a parked vehicle in front of building 23 at the Magnolia Creek Apartments, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his chest area. Despite the efforts of Dallas Fire-Rescue, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
