On July 4, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident at an apartment complex located on the northbound service road of the 7800 block of Marvin D. Love Freeway. Upon arrival, officers discovered 51-year-old Tyrer James Pearson lying in the breezeway with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
