Stormie Devon Callison, a 22-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on February 1, 2019, in Bartlett, Texas. She was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on December 12, 1997, and was a graduate of Midland Lee High School. Callison was known for her infectious laugh and smile, and she was remembered by friends and family as a vibrant and caring individual who always went out of her way to help others.
On the day of her death, Callison was found shot inside a home in the 600 block of W.
Jackson Street in Bartlett. The investigation revealed that she had met Archie Samuel Rogers Jr., a 32-year-old resident of Bartlett, through an adult website. According to Rogers, Callison agreed to meet him at his apartment for sex in exchange for $600. After the encounter, Callison allegedly increased the price to $1,000, which led Rogers to "freak out" and shoot her.
Rogers was arrested the following day after a lengthy search involving multiple law enforcement agencies and a heat-sensing drone. He was charged with first-degree murder and held on a $500,000 bond. The investigation and subsequent arrest were a collaborative effort between the Bartlett Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff's Office, Burnet County Sheriff's Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Wardens.
Callison's family and friends have been working to preserve her memory by setting up a GoFundMe fundraiser to cover funeral costs and establish a scholarship in her name. Despite the tragic circumstances, her loved ones continue to honor her legacy through these efforts.
The case against Rogers remains ongoing, and he is currently in custody awaiting trial. The community continues to mourn the loss of Stormie Devon Callison, a young woman whose life was cut short far too soon.
