Shanti Nakirekanti, a 46-year-old Indian American woman, tragically died on February 18, 2019, in Sugar Land, Texas. She was killed by her husband, Sreenivas Nakirekanti, 51, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident occurred at their home in the Telfair subdivision, where Shanti was found in the driveway with a gunshot wound to the head, and Sreenivas was found inside the house with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
