On April 16, 2023, in Sugar Land, Texas, 43-year-old Lantonia Faulk was tragically killed in a domestic violence incident involving her boyfriend, 38-year-old Alton Sandles. The events unfolded around 11 p.m. at Faulk's residence on Issacks Way in the Chimneystone neighborhood. Faulk had called 911, reporting that Sandles was assaulting her.

Upon arrival, a Sugar Land police officer witnessed Sandles shooting Faulk outside the home. Sandles then fired at the officer, who returned fire; ...
