Corey Tyrell Byrd, a 20-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on May 28, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. Corey was one of two victims in a drive-by shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of Hays Street. He was standing near a bus stop with two other individuals when a black SUV drove up and opened fire. Corey and another victim, 16-year-old Sebastien Roro Montez, were fatally shot, while a third man, 19-year-old Paschal Evans, survived with injuries.
