On May 18, 2023, a tragic incident unfolded at the Privat Social Club in San Antonio, Texas, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Devon King. Originally from Corpus Christi, King was among four individuals shot during an altercation that escalated into gunfire outside the nightclub. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that King succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest, classifying his death as a homicide.
