Buckley Alan "Buck" Aubey, a 46-year-old man from Hamshire, Texas, died on January 13, 2020, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. He was born on November 15, 1973, to George Alan Aubey and Joy Rita Fabre Aubey. Buck Aubey was known to have a history of domestic violence and had multiple prior arrests related to family violence.
On the night of his death, Buck Aubey forcibly entered his ex-girlfriend's home in the 11000 block of Kenner Road by kicking in the door.
A disturbance ensued, and he was shot by someone inside the home. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead approximately two hours later.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident and began an investigation. Initial findings indicated that several people were present in the home at the time of the shooting, and all were cooperating with the investigation. However, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
Buck Aubey was set to be arraigned on charges of assault family violence and terroristic threats the day after his death. His prior record included multiple arrests for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, possession of a controlled substance, and evading arrest.
The case remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet identified a suspect or made any arrests related to his death.
