Daquan Gaskins, a 22-year-old prison guard from Maryland, tragically lost his life on August 2, 2014, in Baldwin, New York. The incident occurred outside the Love Jones Café, a nightclub in Baldwin, during the early hours of the morning. Gaskins and his cousin were involved in a physical altercation with Dashawn Wade and several of Wade's friends.
