David "Super Dave" Bryan Parkerson, a 26-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity from Beaumont, Texas, tragically passed away on April 25, 2022. The cause of death was a gunshot wound sustained during a shooting incident in the 3700 block of Usan Street in Beaumont.
The investigation revealed that 17-year-old Jayden Joseph Leonard, also from Beaumont, was involved in the incident. Leonard turned himself into the police the following day and was subsequently charged with capital murder.
He admitted to the shooting during police questioning. Leonard was held in the Jefferson County Jail on a bond set at $950,000.
The case proceeded to court, and Leonard was eventually convicted of murder. On August 31, 2023, he was sentenced to 40 years in prison by Criminal District Court Judge John Stevens.
