Erick Guero Torres, a 17-year-old Hispanic male from San Antonio, Texas, tragically lost his life on April 19, 2021. He was fatally shot during an incident on Huebner Road in Leon Valley, Texas. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when suspects in a medium to dark-colored SUV drove up alongside a red Ford Taurus and fired shots into the vehicle. Erick, who was inside the Taurus, was one of the victims shot during this attack.
He succumbed to his injuries later that night.
The investigation into Erick's death revealed that the shooting might have been the result of a road rage incident. Minutes before the shooting, another red sedan, similar to the Taurus, was reportedly involved in a confrontation with the suspect SUV. Despite extensive efforts by the police, including releasing photos of the suspect vehicle and offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest, the suspects remain at large.
As of now, the case remains open, and the authorities continue to search for the individuals responsible for Erick's death. The community and Erick's family are still seeking justice, hoping that someone will come forward with information that can help solve this tragic case.
Erick is remembered fondly by his family, including his father, Daniel Torres Martinez, his mother, Ana L. Canales, and his brothers, Daniel Jorge Torres Chavez and Juan Isaac Torres. His untimely death has left a significant void in their lives, and they continue to honor his memory.
