Virginia Jenn Lillard, a 39-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on June 20, 2021, in Houston, Texas. She was the victim of a domestic violence incident that also claimed the life of her mother, Rita Lillard, aged 64. The suspect in this case, Lewis Trinidad Nunez, was Jenni Lillard's ex-boyfriend. In February 2023, Lewis Trinidad Nunez was sentenced to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murders. He must serve at least 30 years before being eligible for parole, and under the plea agreement, he cannot appeal his conviction or sentence. The case was prosecuted by the Harris County District Attorney's Domestic Violence Division, and the plea agreement spared the family from having to testify or endure a trial.
