On March 30, 2024, 52-year-old Ana Iris Meléndez was found deceased in her Houston, Texas, home, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to an initial distress call around 10 p.m. on March 30, reporting possible gunshots; however, deputies were unable to locate any suspicious activity at that time.
