On June 11, 2008, the body of 48-year-old Marsha Lynn Mitchell was discovered in a field adjacent to a construction site at 2625 Reed Road in Houston, Texas. She was last seen alive on the evening of June 10, 2008, getting into a vehicle with an unidentified man at 12211 Fondren Road. An autopsy confirmed that Mitchell had been strangled. Despite initial investigative efforts, the case remained unsolved for over 15 years.
