On April 18, 1973, Jana Whatley, a 10-year-old girl from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life in what became known as the "Red Elementary Rampage." Jana was walking home from school when she was shot by Larry Delon Casey, a 21-year-old man who went on a shooting spree that day. Casey, who was on probation for burglary, had a history of minor crimes and was reportedly upset after an argument with his girlfriend.
