Adele Margaret Crabtree, a 16-year-old Caucasian female, was found dead on November 3, 1971, in a remote area of Montgomery County, north of Houston, Texas. She had been killed with two loads of buckshot and one bird-shot from a shotgun. Evidence suggested that prior to the shooting, she may have been subjected to sexual violence.
