Joseph Adam White Jr., a 40-year-old Caucasian male, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2021, in Round Rock, Texas. Born on January 31, 1981, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Joseph, affectionately known as Joey, had a deep passion for automobiles and pickup trucks from a young age. He pursued a career in the railroad industry, working in various capacities for Tartaglia Railroad Services, the New York Susquehanna and Western Railway, the Wellsboro and Corning Railroad, and the Austin and Western
Railroad. After a 16-year career in the railroad industry, Joey transitioned to working with his sister and brother-in-law at their family-owned exterminating business, Centex Wildlife Control, in Austin, Texas. Joey was also a part-time bartender at Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock, Texas.
On the morning of July 26, 2021, Round Rock Police officers responded to a report of gunshots near the 16900-block of N IH-35, in the parking lot south of Aspen University. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of Joseph Adam White Jr. in the parking lot. It was believed that he had been shot by the occupants of a pickup truck that fled the scene. The investigation into his death revealed that Joseph's brother-in-law was the primary suspect in the homicide. Tragically, the suspect was found dead in Joseph's vehicle later that evening in southern Travis County, with the cause of death believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The official cause of the suspect's death was pending a final medical examiner's report.
Joseph Adam White Jr.'s untimely death left his family and friends devastated. He was remembered as a kind, compassionate, and considerate individual who would give anything to anyone in need. Joey's passing, along with the unexpected death of his brother-in-law, Matthew Garcia, who also passed away at the same time, added to the family's grief. Joey is survived by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Debra White; his sisters, Kimberleigh Burke and Jennifer White; his nieces and nephews, Braydin and Matthew Garcia, Briana, Brian, and Brynn Burke; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joey's funeral service was held on August 10, 2021, at Hennessey's Funeral Home in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, where family and friends gathered to pay their respects and share memories of a beloved son, brother, and friend.
