On the evening of January 19, 2023, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Round Rock Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Red Hills Villas apartment complex, located at 1401 South AW Grimes Boulevard in Round Rock, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Marcos Esparza suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Tragically, Esparza was pronounced dead at the scene.
