Avery Burns, a 38-year-old Black male, was found dead on August 30, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting call at approximately 12:42 p.m. at 1661 Bending Oaks Trail. Upon arrival, officers discovered the rear door of the residence partially open and found Avery Burns lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim through fingerprint anal ...
