On November 24, 2021, 28-year-old Jose Juan Vasquez, a Hispanic male, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Walmart in Northeast Austin, Texas. The incident occurred around 10:39 p.m., when Vasquez was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at 11:20 p.m.
