On June 30, 2023, at approximately 11:18 p.m., Austin Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 8800 block of Redfield Lane in North Austin. Upon arrival, they discovered 47-year-old Larry Jennings lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene.
