In the spring of 2016, a single act of violence cut short the life of Frankie B. Phillips, a 42-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri. On a Sunday night, April 24th, Phillips was at a home on Iowa Avenue when he was struck by multiple gunshots. The wounds proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police immediately launched an investigation into the shooting, treating it as a homicide.
