Tyra Brown, a 19-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, was fatally shot on April 17, 2016. The incident took place in the 4600 block of Elmwood, where Tyra had taken her cousin to a house party. She waited in her car to pick him up later, but at around 1:50 AM, she was attacked. Numerous shell casings were found at the scene, indicating that multiple shots had been fired. Tyra was transported to a local hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries soon afterward.
