In the winter of 2017, a tragedy unfolded inside a Kansas City, Missouri, apartment that claimed the life of 28-year-old Victoria C. Brown. On the evening of January 12th, an armed invasion of a third-floor apartment at The Trails at the Ridge Apartments led to a fatal shooting. Victoria, along with Ali Renee Brown, 20, and Darrell E. Thomas, 29, were killed in the attack. Two other individuals, an adult female and Ali Brown's two-year-old son, were also shot but survived their injuries.
