According to an affidavit, Gonzalez-De Hoyos was shot by Victor Eleazar Paz, 23, who is identified as his ex-wife's current boyfriend. The incident occurred near the Sonic Drive-Thru on South U.S. 83. Gonzalez-De Hoyos was found dead inside his blue Dodge Durango, which had crashed into a fixture after the shooting.
