On October 19, 2024, at approximately midnight, 21-year-old Marco Antonio Viera was found fatally shot in the driver's seat of his black Toyota at the intersection of Lomas Del Sur Boulevard and South Ejido Avenue in south Laredo, Texas. This incident marked the city's fifth homicide of the year.
