Adel Elhindawi, a 52-year-old man of Middle Eastern descent, was the owner of Salem Autos, a used car dealership in Arlington, Texas. On May 16, 2022, Elhindawi was fatally shot while attempting to retrieve a loaner car that had not been returned by a customer. He succumbed to his injuries three days later.
