On November 23, 2024, 19-year-old Dayton Jaqual Allen was fatally shot inside a short-term rental apartment in Arlington, Texas. The apartment, located near AT&T Stadium, had been rented by Allen to celebrate his 20th birthday, which was just hours away. Alongside Allen, 18-year-old Alexis Johniyah Tyler was also killed in the shooting. Both victims were found in the living room, having been shot multiple times.
