In the quiet town of Pelzer, South Carolina, a grim discovery was made on the morning of September 18, 2024. A resident noticed an unfamiliar vehicle, a blood-soaked Mazda CX-7, parked in their front yard on Highway 8 and alerted the authorities. When Greenville County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived shortly before 8:00 a.m., they found the body of a woman in the passenger seat. The 41-year-old female, Mindy Lee McDonald, had sustained at least one gunshot wound.
