On September 18, 2024, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding an unfamiliar vehicle parked in the front yard of a residence on Highway 8 in Pelzer, South Carolina. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 41-year-old Mindy Lee McDonald deceased in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, having sustained at least one gunshot wound.
