D'Yani Amajanique Denise Thomas, a 19-year-old African American woman from San Antonio, Texas, tragically lost her life on June 12, 2022. She was one of three young women shot inside a car near North Star Mall in Castle Hills. The incident occurred early in the morning, and D'Yani, along with her friend Kennedi Eunece Braziel, 18, succumbed to their injuries. Another woman in the car was critically injured.
