Joyce Cassandra Medina, a 27-year-old Hispanic woman, was tragically killed on March 6, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. She was an aspiring bilingual teacher and a student at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, where she was an active member of the Bilingual Education Student Organization . Joyce was known for her positive attitude and her love for her rescue dog, Caleb. She had just arrived home after watching a San Antonio Spurs game when the incident occurred.
