On July 4, 2016, Jamie Conner, age 21, was killed in a violent shooting in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident took place at Mama Minnie's Market, located at the corner of W. Page and Pendleton. Conner and another victim, Samuel Jackson, were ambushed by two gunmen armed with semi-automatic rifles. Surveillance footage later released by the police showed the attackers arriving in a maroon Dodge Charger and opening fire, leaving both men dead and another victim critically injured.
