On October 16, 2016, Dontay Jordan, a 17-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, was shot and killed in the city. The incident took place in the Walnut Park East neighborhood, where officers responded to reports of gunfire. Jordan was found at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and despite the efforts of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
