On October 16, 2016, the St. Louis community suffered the loss of 17-year-old Dontay Jordan, a young male who became a victim of gun violence during a particularly violent weekend in the city. Known affectionately to his friends and family as 'Tay-Tay,' Dontay was a student who had attended both Hazelwood Central and Sumner High School.
