Michael Essien, a 38-year-old man of African descent, was tragically killed on September 20, 2022, in Houston, Texas. Essien, a loving husband and father of four, was shot by Bolanle Olayinka Fadairo, a 40-year-old man who was once his high school friend. The incident occurred outside a strip center in southwest Houston, where Essien and Fadairo had a dispute over money. Surveillance footage captured Fadairo pulling out a gun and shooting Essien, who died at the scene.
