On June 19, 1995, in Memphis, Tennessee, 24-year-old African American male, Arthur Kirkwood, was tragically murdered by his friend, Ernest D. Jamison. Jamison, a former Bible college student, had previously discussed plans to rob and kill his friends in Memphis before executing this act. On that fateful day, Jamison shot Kirkwood, stole his maroon Oldsmobile Delta 88, and fled the scene.
