Addison Ray Lipscomb, a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 8, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Addison was born on June 10, 1988, and was the youngest son of Trimmel Lipscomb and Kenneth Lipscomb. He was a cherished member of his community, known for his strong faith and love for his family. Addison attended various schools in Charlotte, including McKee Road Elementary, Devonshire Elementary, Eastway Middle, and North Mecklenburg High School.
He was deeply involved in his church, attending services at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist, Greater Mt. Zion Church, and Harbor Baptist. Addison's life was cut short when he was shot multiple times on Tuckaseegee Road near Interstate 85 at around 1:30 a.m. Emergency officials arrived at the scene and found Addison deceased from several gunshot wounds.
The investigation into Addison's death led to the arrest of Keith Lamar Campbell, a 38-year-old African American male, who was already serving a prison sentence for unrelated charges at the Mountain View Correctional Institution in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. On March 6, 2023, Keith was charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department identified Keith as the suspect in Addison's murder and obtained warrants for his arrest. Keith will be transferred to the Mecklenburg County Jail upon completion of his current sentence.

Overman, has been actively seeking tips and information from the public to ensure justice for Addison and his family.
