Brent Holton, a 10-year-old boy from Shelbyville, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on November 30, 1997. Brent was one of four children murdered by his father, Daryl Holton, a Gulf War veteran who was struggling with severe depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. On the day of the murders, Daryl Holton told Brent and his siblings that they were going Christmas shopping. Instead, he drove them to an auto repair shop in Shelbyville, where he executed them with an SKS assault rifle.
